Isles is a partner in the City of Trenton’s Trenton Green Initiative. The goal of this effort, announced in October 2007, is to develop multilayered partnerships between government, business and community groups to:
- Lower energy use and carbon emissions in Trenton.
- Save money through improved technology, processes and personal behaviors.
- Stimulate economic development and new green career paths for residents.
- Educate the public.
Other partners beyond Isles and the City of Trenton include Mercer County, the New Jersey Department of Labor, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the Rutgers Institute for a Sustainable State, the Regional Plan Association, and PSE&G.
