Buying a home can be an intimidating process, especially for the first-time home buyer. Our Home buyers Club demystifies this process through individual credit and housing sessions and our home buyer workshops. Depending on the client’s mortgage readiness, three different club options are available. In some cases, our home buyers qualify for programs that can provide financial assistance with down payments and/or closing costs. Isles is a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) certified housing counseling agency.
Home Buyer’s Clubs: Potential home buyer’s receive up to 18 hours of one-on-one credit and housing counseling, complimentary registration into the Home Buyer Workshop, referrals to partner banks and real estate firms, referrals to down payment assistance programs (if available). Through one-on-one counseling we will help you determine whether purchasing a home is the right financial choice for you, review your credit, help you create a concrete budget, determine the monthly amount you can responsibly pay for a home, assist with credit repair and review your mortgage documents and offer other advice on your home purchase. Costs to belong to the Home Buyer’s Club range from $39-$89 for individuals and $59-$109 for couples, depending upon your mortgage readiness.
Home Buyer Workshops: Planning to Buy a Home? Isles Home Buyer’s Workshop takes the mystery out of the home buying process. This two-part, 4 hour workshop is held on consecutive Saturday mornings.

Completion of this two-part workshop will qualify you for a home buyer’s certificate (which many lenders require in order to receive a better mortgage rate) and will get you ready to become a home owner. The fee for this course is only $25 and includes handouts and refreshments.
