Rukiya Blackwell is an attorney in the State of New Jersey, operating a law practice from Mount Holly, New Jersey. She practices a variety of areas of law with a concentration in criminal defense. She also serves as a part-time Public Defender. Ms. Blackwell is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a concentration in Finance. She earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the Cooley Law School (Western Michigan University). Her prior work experience includes a four-year stint as Operation Manager/Education Specialist at Isles’ YouthBuild Institute. She taught high school math at the Young Scholars Institute’s High School Enrichment Program and held positions of Math teacher, Student Support and Associate Business Manager at the Granville Charter School in Trenton. She joined Isles’ Board in 2019.
