Financial Coaching

Our financial coaches understand the challenges facing today’s families. We offer realistic pathways for improvement in multiple areas of everyday personal finance, with an emphasis on credit, debt, and savings solutions. Coaches work alongside participants to establish financial goals and to put successful practices into place to achieve them. Targeted financial products (e.g., credit builder loans, matched savings accounts) may be available.

Employment Coaching

Income is central to financial health. Whether looking to land a new job, access training for a career in a growing field, or get ‘interview ready’ with a new resume and polished interviewing skills, our employment coaches provide the resources and support that participants need to secure or advance their jobs and careers. Employment coaches work with participants to help identify which opportunities and job pathways are right for them and match them with trainings and other resources.

Interested in training for a new career? Click here to learn about our Lifelong Learning Accounts. Eligible participants receive up to $9600 for training and support.

Income Support

For eligible individuals and households, public benefits (e.g., SNAP, WIC, utility assistance, health insurance) can provide essential financial resources to address the pressing needs that individuals and families face. Our Income Support staff help participants to navigate these complex programs to apply for and access applicable services. Information and referrals for free and low-cost resources (e.g., medical care, household goods, childcare services, home repairs, and youth programs) are also provided through partner organizations and other Isles departments.

Housing Counseling

Housing expenditures are the most costly monthly expenses in most households. Moreover, housing is about more than shelter. It’s linked to health, education, safety, and overall quality of life.

Isles is a HUD-Certified housing counseling agency, offering first-time home buyer, foreclosure prevention and rental counseling services. We provide both group education and one-on-one counseling. To learn more about these services, please visit Housing Counseling at Isles
