Identifying a real estate agent to assist you with the home purchasing process can be challenging. It is important to find someone who is knowledgeable and understands your situation. The New Jersey Consumer Information Statement (CIS)
Licensed real estate professionals in New Jersey are required by law to inform prospective buyers (and sellers) about “how they intent to work with [them] in a real estate transaction.” In other words, in whose interest are they working? The New Jersey Consumer Information Statement (CIS) is a document that details the possible roles and must be provided to the buyer (or seller) at the start of the relationship.
